Tribeam Forged Connecting Rods

RalliSpec Pro Series Tri-beam forged connecting rods are the pinnacle of design and manufacturing. The beam profile accomodates a wide range of power levels and operating conditions while retaining excellent rigidity where its needed. A blend of both I and H beam design elements within the beam cross section optimizes its reliability under extreme engine conditions (high cylinder pressures and high rpm) while minimizing mass. Careful enhancements and reliefs around the rod cap and small end bore further enhance its strength to weight ratio.

These rods are available in either 4340 chromoly (with ARP2000 bolts) or 300M (with ARP 625+ bolts). 300M is an advanced aerospace alloy that offers a higher tensile strength. THe 4340 rods will supposrt up to 750whp while the 300M rods will support over 1000whp.

Set of 4 rods.

Usually ships the next business day.

Manufacturer: Saenz

Applications:

  • Subaru EJ20/EJ25 Turbo

What is the weight of this rod? Approximately 540 grams.

How much power will these rods handle? The 4340 should not be used for applications over 750whp while 300M version can handle over 1000whp.

Are H-beam or I-beam connecting rods better? The choice of I-beam versus H-beam is really dependent on the type of loads the rod must withstand and other considerations. It is impossible to make a generalized statement that one is always better than the other. For the most part H-beam rods can be designed to better provide the stiffness and rigidity necessary in a turbocharged application where compressive loads are quite high while I-beam rods can be made more suitable to the high tensile loads of a high revving normally aspirated application. Of course this is a simplification.

Can I purchase a single replacement rod? Single rods are available on a special order basis. Please contact us for pricing and lead time.
