Grimmspeed's robust bar and plate core top mount intercooler is designed to keep charge temperatures cool and consistent with increased boost pressures and aggressive driving. Carefully engineered for optimal balance between charge cooling and minimal flow restriction. This intercooler kit includes a specially designed 2 piece hood scoop air duct (splitter) to ensure maximum air flow from the hood scoop. Cast aluminum end tanks with fully machined connections for accuracy and precision. A 1/8 NPT bung is machined into the outlet end tank for easy installation of water or meth injection system which is a critical component for extracting maximum performance from the FA20DIT engine (A blanking plug is also supplied). Optional aluminum charge pipe and 5-ply silicone hose connection is available for a complete upgrade (replaces the restrictive plastic charge pipe). The charge pipe kit features large radius mandrel bends and gradual size tapering from turbo to intercooler ensures the smoothest and least restricted flow.
