Subaru TGV deletes eliminate the restrictive tumble generator plates in the intake manifold allowing for increased power output. Fits side feed injector applications. Includes set of 2 (left and right sides). Some applications require modification of the center holes of the intake manifold due to a slight mis-match in the hole locations.

What is a TGV? TGV stands for Tumble Generator Valve. It is an ECU-controlled throttle plate in the lower part of the intake manifold runner that partially closes off the runner. It is used as emissions device to create air turbulence in the combustion chamber and improve fuel distribution. It is active primarily on startup at idle or low throttle positions. However, even when the plates are fully open they represent a small restriction to the incoming airflow and can hurt performance.
Will the use of these TGV deletes cause a Check Engine Light? Yes. The ECU monitors the TGV plate positions through a position sensor. There are also codes associated with incorrect voltages of the TGV motors and sensors. The use of these TGV deletes will require reprogramming of the ECU to deactivate the related CEL codes.
