Cobb's V3 accessport allows for easy ECU flashing using either Cobb's extensive range of off-the-shelf maps, Racetuner system, or an authorized Cobb Protuner. The V3 introduces a large, full color, high resolution screen. Allows the user to monitor up to six ECU parameters in real time. Fully customizable look (bezel color), layout (set up race, street, or dyno gauge clusters), and mounting options (choose from a vast array of standard vehicle mounts). Increased processing power, memory, and storage to flash faster while saving all of your maps and logs.
Usually ships the next business day.
What functions does the Accessport have? This Accessport has several functions: 1. Tuning - The AP can flash a new ROM file into the ECU with calibrations suitable for any type of modification done to the car. 2. Troubleshooting - The AP can read trouble codes, reset the ecu, and perform other diagnostic capabilities. 3. Datalogging - The AP can record ECU data into a log file for later review. 4. Gauge Cluster - The AP displays up to 6 ECU parameters on the screen showing real time information as well as max and min values. 5. Performance Testing - The AP can utilize ECU data to do various performance tests such as 0-60mph times.
Can this be used on more than one car? In order to use the AP it must be "married" to a specific ECU by performing an installation procedure. Once the AP is married to an ECU it cannot be used with any other ECU until it has been uninstalled. Uninstalling the AP removes any modified ROM file and converts the ECU back to the stock calibration ROM file.
How do I make modifications to the tuning of the car's ECU? Cobb offers a number of basic off-the-shelf ecu maps (files) which can be downloaded from www.cobbtuning.com under the "MAPS" tab. Off-the-shelf (OTS) maps are designed for basic modifications such as a high flow exhaust, intake, etc. Generally the OTS maps are designed for use with Cobb branded performance upgrades and there is no guarantee they will be 100% properly calibrated for products from other manufacturers. Custom maps can be generated with Acdesstuner or Protuner software. Accesstuner software can only be purchased after attending an EFI University online class (see www.cobbtuning.com website for details). Protuner software is only available to professional tuners. Any authorized Cobb Protuner (we are one) can build a custom map for you. Note that Acesstuner software is more limited in its capabilities than the Protuner software. Also Accesstuner software is not available to tuner some of the newer vehicles unlike the Protuner software which can tune any vehicle the Acessport is available for.
