RCM 14mm cylinder head dowels make the installation of 14mm head studs much easier. Drilling or reaming a factory dowel pin to allow 14mm threads to pass through results in a paper thin wall thickness making them weak and easily damaged. By splitting and spreading the dowel pin a standard thickness dowel pin can be used, slid over top the 14mm head stud after it was been installed in the block and then compressed before being pressed into the block. RCM laser cuts the dowel in an "S" pattern for maximum strength and accuracy. The dowels are pre-spread so they install easily over the head stud.
